I want to be fair about this but I feel that considering the selling points of the product, this unit has come up short. Before you even go there, you need to know that I've been involved with audio recording and wireless technology long before AKAI and Alesis introduced their digital recording formats to the professional market, much less the consumer/home market. I purchased this combo unit strictly for speech replication, NOT singing. And after setting up the unit for one transmitter, the receiver output signal of which I ran through every available option of my custom made Skytech tower, produced the most glaring and god-awful buzz I've ever heard from a fully connected and grounded wireless setup. It was so bad, it made my $20.00 FiFine wired lav sound like God by comparison. So I've initiated the return process and will take the unit to Staples today for drop-off. I wanted this unit to live up to the reviews and hype surrounding it, but no such luck. I've already bought and set up a legitimate audio/midi interface box and condenser mic combo from Presonus which will serve me well on this project AND full-on multi-track recording of instruments and vocals down the road.
