Something interesting happened to us a few weeks ago: some genius stole the dash camera from one of our (accidentally left unlocked) cars. I say "genius" because a couple of days later a neighbor found it in the bushes nearby and to our delight, the "genius" caught himself on camera while stealing it. Oops.I decided that I wanted a security camera to scan the parking lot, that it was not enough to just rely on the cameras in the two cars. Since this is a condo complex without garages, our only option is to park on assigned spaces out in the open.I picked up this camera hoping that I could use it through the window. I knew that infrared would not work, but I was OK relying on just the street lights. Setting it up was pretty simple: install the app, sign up for the free account, then there is a 5-min process to connect to the camera and get it authenticated through your WiFi. Once that was done, the last step was to insert and format a microSD card. Boom, done.The first surprise is that the quality of the video is superior to the 1080p cameras on both of our cars. Indoors quality is really good for this price point. Outdoors, shot through the glass, it's decent. At night I have to make sure that the room lights are turned off to avoid reflections, and that's enough to give me a decent recording.The motion detectors work great, to the point that they'll drive you insane unless you mute the warnings, or you can just opt to schedule when the motion detector is active. The panning of the camera is neat, and it allows you to save favorite positions, so once you do that it is very fast to aim. BUT ... it's dependent on your WiFi signal strength so expect some input lag while panning it unless your signal is strong.Overall I am pleased, it is doing its job, the price was right and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, especially if you just need it to monitor indoors. For aiming it through a glass, keep in mind that the infrared is going to be useless which would be the same on pretty much all cameras unless you could come up with some kind of polarizing filter.My mother-in-law is 90 years old. She is unable to walk on her own. At night, she sometimes tries to get out of bed. We use this camera to keep an eye on her so she doesn't hurt herself.We had the camera for about 8 months and it was working great. Then the time came when I had an issue with the camera. It went offline, and I was unable to correct the issue. The company and I went back and forth a few times when they finally agreed to replace the camera. No hassles whatsoever! I would highly recommend this product! A stand-up company!This camera actually is exactly what I needed but for a much lower price than those brand name security cameras. Now do understand the more expensive options may have higher 4K resolution & other nifty cool features that some may need/desire but I just simply needed a security camera that has all the basic features one should expect but also took clear sharp videos. This camera takes high quality video, not just does the 1080p video look sharp but the night vision mode also works really well!! The app that comes with it isn't necessarily the best when it comes to the app interface but it does have all the standard options one would need/expect in a security camera. You can enable & schedule motion alerts to your phone, you can remotely view and control the camera view which can rotate a full 360° as well as wide vertical angle to view. Not only can you adjust the sensitivity of the motion sensor but also custom select strictly which areas of the camera view that you'd like for the motion sensor to pay attention to. Not sure how much internal storage the camera itself has but it'll store numerous 10 second clips recorded during the motion detection events but you do have the option to insert a microSD card if you'd like for it to run a large amount of time in a video loop. I didn't feel the need to spend so much money on those more expensive 4K security cameras that have a whole bunch of extra bells and whistles that I personally didn't need. I just needed a security camera that I can remotely access/control that took clear sharp videos with night vision and of course send me motion detection video recording alerts. So if that's all you really need, this is the perfect option that'll save you money.Let's start with the bad.When I first got this, it took a while to connect and whenever I opened the app, it took a while to connect to the app to see the video.After a day, it started working fine but the notifications weren't working well for a few days. I had everything turned on but I didn't get any push notifications when motion was detected, then randomly I started getting them.The night vision isn't bad but not totally great, because it missed motion a few times. But this is comparable to other cameras I've tried so it's not too bad.I do like the range of motion the camera offers, and it let's you save positions so that's a plus. The image quality is pretty good and playback is good too.Overall, this is a good camera. It came with mounting gear and once the connection works, the camera is good.Recently decided to buy one of these cameras for security reasons and to figure out what has been digging holes in my back garden at night... *que ominous music*First of all, it was very easy to set up. As was the app. It should be noted that the app was a little slow until I downloaded the most recent firmware for it. Took me all of 5mins. The app itself is very simple and user friendly; I can't think of any changes I would make to it.The image quality is excellent - I honestly don't know why you would need anything more for indoor use. I can see the detail of my own face when meters away which is enough to get an ID on someone in any house sized indoor space if say, you had a break in.This is no less in the dark, as you can see from the photos - the night vision is excellent too. The photo of me sat on my bed is in near pitch black (with the exception of the light on my phone).Motion detection works very well, last night it alerted me to a fox in the back garden while the camera was sat inside on a windowsil.Only thing I would say that is a downside is that the motor that changes the cameras position is very evident in recordings but given the price and quality of the rest of the features I'm willing to look past it![New Upgrade] Muson WiFi Home CameraThis home monitoring security camera is very good, producing crisp clear video and still images. Colour during daylight and black and white in the dark using the night vision capability. The user can utilise the camera's own internal storage or subscribe to cloud based storage for yet further security. Images and video are easy to download to your phone or tablet and are very crisp and of a high quality, pre-sharpened so details are easy to make out.Being a dome camera, the point of view can be remotely rotated through almost a complete 360° as well as up and down and once chosen that position can be made a favourite so the camera can be returned to that position with a single click.The camera is fitted with a microphone and speaker so the owner can communicate with a pet or scare an intruder away etc.The camera is supplied with a USB power adapter and the socket is micro USB. I mention this as the camera is especially useful as it connects to the Internet and your phone via a wireless connection. And I found I could make a completely wireless installation by powering up the camera with one of the many available USB power banks, removing the requirement for a close by mains power socket. The camera seemed to draw very little current from the power bank so I suspect it could be powered like this for many months before needing a recharge.Overall a very versatile home security camera and companion Android or IOS app, I'm happy to recommend this to anyone needing an indoor monitoring camera with better than average HD picture and video quality with motion detection alerts on your mobile device.INTRO:Didn't need this per se, but wanted to see what the cameras were like and if this would work as a security camera. was pleasantly surprised!NOTE TO AMAZON - please fix the title of this item!!!!UNBOXING:Comes well packaged and has everything you need to get started (apart from a TF card). The box held everything in place so nothing got scratched or damaged in transit.MANUAL:Another product with decent instructions!! Sometimes with these things, the instructions can be a bit hit and miss, but these were easy enough to understand.THE DEVICE:Plug it in to the mains, install the app for the play store. Follow the online instructions to put the camera on the network and instant picture. All in all probably 5 minutes of set up ... then an hour or so of finding a good place to put it!!The device itself was smaller than I thought it would be (which is good) and although it does 360 degrees, it goes to a stop so you have to turn it all the way back the other way.The image quality was fine and I do like that the IR lights for night-vision are barely visible so intruders are not aware of it.The app is OK and if anything that is the bit I am going to knock a star off for. I have to say I was expecting less.It came well packaged and feels sturdy. It has everything you need EXCEPT a memory card which is a shame as you can't record locally onto your phone or tablet, and the app constantly pushes you to subscribe to their own cloud storage.I found the app a little confusing at first but it didn't take too long to get used to.The picture quality even indoors with low light is great and the motion sensitivity is fantastic.I like the fact it has a two way speaker system so if you do spot intruders or ner do wells you can scare them away.I can't wait to get it fixed into a suitable spot to capture the hedgehogs who seem to find our garden the most romantic spot in the world ?*UpdateNot particularly impressed with the night vision even in fhdIve been looking for an Indoor camera to keep an eye on our pet dog during the day and this item caught my eye. For one, the app is so easy to use and even on my mobile network I experience no lag whatsoever which is really a top point but the main selling point for me is that I can move to camera remotely to see what the dog is doing and make sure he is ok.Its very easy to use and the clarity of picture is brilliant!! I was amazed as its a compact unit but allows for full control and the peace of mind it has given me knowing he is ok is invaluable.ts very easy to install and I have mine on the wall above his bed giving me full view of the kitchen and hall.it can be setup to store the recordings in the cloud and also for ease of use you can install a memory card and record direct to it.I know there are hundreds of cameras out there to do this but for the money paid and the features available on this unit, I can't see any coming close to the price of this one!!
